Adopt a Furever Friend

MAD Cats has kittens and cats available for adoption. Click on the Adopt with MAD Cats image to see our adoptable kittens and cats.

We intake in orphans from a few hours old to kittens approximately 8-10 weeks, when they can still be socialized. We also take pregnant moms, too late to spay, and moms with litters.

While in foster care, our kittens live with other kittens and are carefully supervised. They are not left alone for more than a couple hours at a time, so are extremely affectionate and seek human companionship. Kittens under 5 months are best adopted in pairs if there are no other cats in the adopter's home and cannot be left alone more than about 2 hours at a time. Having a safe place - dog crate, or room where they can rest when no one is home, will keep them out of trouble.

If you are gone more than 5 hours a day, please consider adopting an older kitten - 8 months or adult. We frequently pull friendly adults from colonies and they make wonderful companions!

Our minimum adoption donation is $150. This covers a small portion of the total costs we incur to provide Spay/Neuter, vaccinations and other care while in our foster program. Total care costs per kitten often exceed $375, so we appreciate donations of more than the minimum $150!

Note: Some kittens may be designated as Indoor Only.

When we are overflowing with kittens, MAD Cats partners with Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) in Aldie, Virginia and the Fredericksburg SPCA to transfer our well socialized  kittens into their Adoption Programs.

Another benefit of having adoption partners:
we can rescue and foster more kittens!
